Help Bring Monkey’s Grill Back to Life — For My Dad, For Our Family
Hi, my name is Taylor — or as many of our old customers know me, Monkey. I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my dad, the heart and soul behind Monkey’s Grill.
My dad has been working since he was 16 years old — not just to survive, but to care for everyone around him. He spent over 24 years selflessly taking care of my mom, a woman so full of light and love that anyone who knew her was better for it. Through everything, my dad kept grinding, kept believing, and kept dreaming.
His dream? To cook. To feed people. And to build something lasting — something he could pass down to me. We got a taste of that dream with Monkey’s Grill, our small family-run food business. We had the passion, the recipes, and the hustle — but we just didn’t have the funding to keep it alive.
Now, we’re trying again. This time, we want to do it right. All my dad needs is a little support to cover the required licenses and start-up costs to run a food cart legally in the state of Florida.
Where the funds will go:
Food Manager Certification & Licensing – $275
State Mobile Food Permit (DBPR) – $347
Local Licensing & Fees (County/City) – ~$150
Startup Supplies (initial inventory, paper goods, fuel, cleaning) – $400
Signage & Branding Materials – $100
Miscellaneous & Spare Expenses (inspections, equipment repairs, propane refills, etc.) – $228
Total Goal: $1,500
If you’ve ever had my dad’s food, you know. And if you haven’t? Trust me — you’re missing out. This man was born to be behind a grill.
Anything helps — whether it’s $5 or just sharing this story. You’re not just supporting a business — you’re helping a family revive a dream, and giving a hardworking man the chance to finally build something of his own.
Help us bring Monkey’s Grill back from the grave.
Let’s make it a comeback story worth telling.
With love and deep thanks,
Monkey ❤️
