Help us remember Papa Atchonke
Hello, my name is Cabrel Temou Atchonke and we are raising funds to bury "Blondo" Atchonke, my dear father, in my home country of Cameroon.
Along with being a great dad to three sons and five daughters, Papa Atchonke was a hard-working businessman and a devoted husband to our late mother, Marceline. He was a kind and peaceful man that we will miss dearly.
Two months ago, Papa Atchonke suffered a stroke that left him with paralysis and renal failure on top of many other medical issues. As a family, we stayed strong and faithful our dad would be rehabilitated. We pooled our limited resources for his hospital care but it was God's will that our father be called home to paradise and so Papa Atchonke's suffering ended on July 4, 2021.
My father has encouraged each of us to pursue our studies which is what brought me to the United States. Unfortunately, with the backlog of immigration cases, I am still unable to safely return to Cameroon and back home again to my American wife, Liz Morgan. The best way for me to honor my father is to stay here and send as much as I can to my siblings who are organizing the traditional ceremonies and burial for our last surviving parent.
Anything that our community can contribute to support us during this extraordinarily challenging month is appreciated. Thank you for thoughts and prayers as well. God bless you.
