In Loving Memory of Kelly Ann Miller
December 10, 1964 – April 30, 2025
It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden and tragic loss of Kelly Ann Miller, who passed away in a car accident on April 30, 2025. Kelly was a beloved daughter of Mary Ann and Al, cousin, friend, veteran, and animal lover whose vibrant spirit touched so many lives across the country and around the world.
Born in San Carlos, California, and raised in Tampa Bay before settling in Georgia, Kelly was a proud graduate of Fayette County High School (Class of 1983). She went on to earn her degree in Behavioral Science from Oglethorpe University in 1997, where she also studied art—two of many passions that guided her through life.
Kelly served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police officer and was injured during the First Gulf War. Her resilience and service are part of the legacy she leaves behind. Her career eventually led her to Delta Air Lines in 2019, where she worked in Corporate Public Relations.
But Kelly's true love was always animals. She was an accomplished dressage rider and stable manager, having competed and cared for horses across the United States. She also found joy in scuba diving around the world, from the ABC islands to Fiji.
She leaves behind her beloved horse Gordy, her loyal dog Cedar, and two cherished cats—who now need loving homes.
The Cecil and Miller families are creating this fund to support the following:
*Immediate care and helping those that are helping rehome her animals
*Final arrangements and memorial services
*Clearing and packing her apartment
*Veteran honors and related end-of-life costs
*Help with assisting her parents during this time
If you knew Kelly, you know her heart was huge—whether it was for her family, her animals, her fellow veterans, or the strangers she’d help without hesitation.
Any donation, no matter the size, will help us ensure her legacy is honored with the care and dignity she deserves.
Thank you for your love, support, and kindness during this incredibly difficult time. Please stay tuned for more information about a gathering and memorial for Kelly.
With love and gratitude,
Kelly's Family & Friends
