My name is Ismael Armando Cardenas, the youngest of four. We lost our father, Jose F. Cardenas, on August 12th. He was a great man who loved cooking and spreading joy through his food, loved soccer, was a car enthusiast (he loved his Cadillacs), and had a passion for classical music and electronics. Above everything else, he loved his family and would do anything for them to make sure they would never go without. He always showed us how much he loved us through his sacrifices and endless hours worked at the restaurants he built. Our dad had been diagnosed with a terminal heart condition but he continued to live and love as he wanted and eventually succumbed to his illness.
We want to honor him with a beautiful service, one where we can share his life story. A story that started in Atengo, Jalisco on August 20th, 1942, then grew into Southern California in the 1970's and finishes here in Arizona. Many chapters, full of cherished moments, with family, friends, and the communities he served.
My siblings and I are pulling together what we have to make this a possibility, but we ask everyone for their help during this time. Donations would go towards the expenses of his service and burial. One that he truly deserves..
We appreciate all of you from the bottom of our hearts and thank each and every one of you for your support.
