The town of Foxboro, MA, recently purchased the former Foxboro Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and is transforming it into a community center. Town leaders graciously extended an invitation to all current and past members of our beloved Foxboro Ward to participate in commemorating the significance of the building for all those who in the past called the Foxboro Ward their spiritual home. Toward this end, we are establishing this Go Fund Me campaign to raise the money to commission a large, cast-bronze commemorative plaque that will be mounted in a prominent place in the former chapel. The plaque will pay homage to the early Ward members who contributed their money, labor, and love to construct the original building, and later members. All cared for this special place which fostered that special something known across generations as the "Spirit of the Foxboro Ward." We are also planning for a park-style bench to be installed outside the building with a plate indicating that it is a gift to the town from ward members.
We invite all who would like to play a part in this commemorative effort, to help us reach this goal. No donation is too small and—to the contrary—some donations may be too large! We believe that many past members will want to take part in this effort. Consequently, we are asking for donations ranging from $10 to $50 so all who would like to may participate. We also encourage all to give your names with your donation rather than donating anonymously. We look forward to seeing and remembering the names of all our friends from years gone by who support this effort. We treasure the memories of all who made the Foxboro Ward such a special place. Thank you for contributing to this cause.
