Every day, educators across the country walk into schools ready to teach, inspire, and protect our children. Most return home. Some do not.

At the National Memorial to Fallen Educators in Emporia, Kansas, we honor those educators and school staff who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their students. From the six brave women at Sandy Hook Elementary to countless others lost to violence, accidents, and tragedy, their stories must never be forgotten.

But now, we need your help.

The Memorial - three striking black granite books etched with the names of 189 fallen educators - has reached capacity. Eleven more families are waiting for their loved one’s name to be engraved in stone. Eleven more stories deserve to be told. We’re hoping to raise $30,000 to install a new granite tablet so that these educators can be permanently remembered alongside their peers.

The Memorial tells the story of those who gave everything in service to education, and it is sacred ground for families, colleagues, students, and communities. It stands on a hill at Emporia State University, quietly overlooking the Flint Hills, offering a place of reflection, reverence, and remembrance.
