Our locally owned business has now been burglarized three times within a week. As many of you may know, our shop, Green Motion E-bikes, was burglarized last Sunday morning. It was a smash and grab, they smashed one of our large main windows and stole one of our most expensive Ebikes. Four days later, someone smashed another window and tried to steal two of the ebikes that were in that display. Those two bikes were locked together with one of our best locks. However, having dragged them through the glass and dropped on the concrete, they are both heavily damaged. Then last night, Sunday, another window was smashed and another e-bike was stolen. With the cost of replacing three windows, and now four Ebikes, we have decided to find another location. Downtown Wenatchee is no longer a safe place for us to grow our business and serve our customers. The insurance costs being as high as they are, and with the cost of deductible, the windows, and the loss of 4 ebikes, two being stolen, two being heavily damaged, and the sudden expense of moving costs, we are humbly asking for the communities help for us to relocate and make repairs to one of downtown Wenatchee‘s most historic and beloved buildings. We will honor all warranties and continue providing rentals and test rides, but under the circumstances, we have to find another location to do that. We have always supported our valley and we are now humbly asking for your help and support.
