Hello, we are asking for assistance in finding a new home. On March 23, our home burnt down on Newtown Rd in Floyd, VA. Thankfully, and most importantly, everyone was safe beyond some small injuries. It's beyond salvageable, and we lost almost everything: clothes, personal effects, all our furniture... it's been devastating for our family.
We are a small family of 3, including my grandmother (80), my uncle (56), and myself (41), along with our two small dogs and my one cat. We had two cats; unfortunately, one is missing since that day. Both my grandmother and uncle are disabled, and I work and care for them, but we are of limited income and we were renting rooms at the time of the fire.
We need help to get started; we need enough to at least get into a home and soon, as assistance for us is limited and running out quickly. With maintaining a job and caring for them, it takes most of my time, and finding a place can be difficult enough, but now we are starting at zero. We ask for enough to get moved; we will desperately need beds, clothes, etc. It's a large mountain to climb, and I thank anyone for anything they can give.
Any assistance is very appreciated.
Thank you! -Krissy
