Aloha friends and family,
The recent Kona Low storm took us all by surprise, leaving many of us in a difficult position.
On Friday night, March 13th, around 8:30 PM, our home on Kaiwahine Street in Kihei, Maui was suddenly overwhelmed by a rogue river of water.
We were incredibly fortunate that the front yard only had a vinyl fence; we were able to break it apart with a sledgehammer to allow the rushing water to escape. If that water hadn't been released, the pressure could have taken the entire home.
Now, we are left with the massive task of rebuilding the perimeter wall and restoring the landscaping, which will cost thousands of dollars. We are raising funds to help offset these repair costs and return the property to a safe, stable home for my tenants and my family.
Every bit goes directly toward the restoration of our home after this unexpected disaster.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for any kindness you can share.
Mahalo,
Lauren Kaleleiki
