It is with a heavy heart that I share this story with you. Thursday night, July 31st, mine and my wife Erica‘s barn caught on fire, from what they deduced was a lightning strike.

Erica ran out to try and get her two horses, Gracie, her 22 yr Morgan, and Heiress, her 17yr Arabian, out, but the barn was engulfed in flames. She was burned with 3rd degree burns on her body trying to get to them. I was at work and rushed home.

The barn burned to the ground in 20 minutes. We have lost everything up there, Gracie and Heiress were the loves of her life and her children. She has been everywhere with them and the connection that was formed with those girls was unlike any other.

Everyone has been so kind while we are trying to pick up the pieces and keep her protected. She is absolutely heartbroken to say the least, and I don’t know how she or our family will recover from this devestating tragedy.

I am reaching out to the community, and people that knew Erica, knew Gracie and Heiress, and anyone one else who they have touched, for just alittle help. The circle is big and l'm sure we can become a bit more whole with any help you're able to give.

Insurance, as you know doesn't always work out the way we want, and we are in the midst of figuring it all out. There is no way to replace what we have lost and we will always mourn, respect, and honor our lost loved ones. From everyone that has come and helped out, sent flowers, or even just sent a message to us trying to be there in this hard time, thank you so much. It means more than you possibly know to have people share with us in our loss and pain.
