Help us recover from our home being destroyed in a fire!

My name is Jason Carr, and my housemate is named Jonathan Houston. We have lived on a property high up in the Rocky Mountains and we have spent our whole life's work building a functioning homestead. On Monday January 13, 2025, under a full moon, our house burned down. The previous owner had done some very unsafe things to the house, which were concealed behind the walls. A fire started underneath the house, and within 7 minutes, the house totally erupted into flames. I barely had time to save our two dogs, Bodkin and JP, and our kittens, Hiro and Shima. All six of us are homeless and, short of a few personal belongings, escaped with only the clothes on our backs. There has been a huge outpouring of generosity, including beds to sleep in, food in our stomachs, care for our fur babies, and floods of requests to help however someone can. We were fortunate to have very good insurance, but that only helps us far down the road. People started asking what we need, and after starting a list, we quickly realized that we need... everything.

We appreciate any small amount of help that you can offer, to help us have a place to stay during the cold hard mountain winters, to help us be clothed, fed, take care of our animal family, and to prepare for the many very expensive costs that lie ahead.
