On Easter Sunday 2019, there was a fire in our apartment building. Luckily there was no fire or water damage, but there was such immense smoke damage that we were forced to move out of our apartment. Although we were fortunate enough to have some assistance from insurance, we are not able to get help from our insurance as we have to replace the many things we had to get rid of because of smoke damage. We had to throw out all of our food, most of our furniture (including our mattress), in addition to many random things that could not be cleaned of the smoke smell. As two recent graduates of Undergrad and Grad school, we are simultaneously trying to replace everything and work on paying off student loans, and so our minimal savings will be quickly depleted without your help. We truly hate asking for this, but we are completely out of options. We really need help trying to get money to replace all that we have lost throughout all of this.
