Hello family, friends and maybe even strangers. First and foremost, we want everyone to know how truly grateful we are for the all blessings we have seen in our lives over the past several years. All the friendships made and built…all the testimonies God has given us. However, everyone has seasons where, no matter how hard they work and do whatever they can, ends just don't seem to meet. This is currently the season we are in right now. We often hear those words, “let me know if you need anything.” So, we are making a decision now to ask for help.

Let me just take a moment and share with you some of the things we have currently been facing. We have had some pretty big medical situations recently that we are still walking through. We have been facing a series of unexpected medical emergencies that have turned our lives upside down. After Jonathan lost specific health coverage, he cut back on therapy recovering from a recent surgery and has had to say no to follow up appointments and the need for another test. Then I (Moriah) suffered an episode at work one day that led to a cardiologist visit. From that visit, ordered tests. Another episode that landed me in the ER. We’ve l learned there is an electrical problem with my heart. But trying to find the cause of my issue to actually treat it is test after test. And with tests and visits come missed work for me.

If this hasn’t been a big enough challenge, this last month, our only family car, which was our lifeline for getting to work, appointments and church quit on us. Without reliable transportation of our own, we’ve had to succumb on a rental car. We have learned that our insurance will only reimburse us for a small fraction of the cost, after the repair is completed. But most recent update is it will take another 2-3 weeks before our vehicle can run again.

Yes, prayers are very much needed right now, but we also need help from our community. At this time, we have exhausted all our income. Because of my job, we have been told that we do not qualify for even a small amount of food stamps. Our landlords are graciously working with us on our rent, but could use some help to cover the essentials—utilities, food, the rental car and medical bills.

We are out of options on how to meet these needs. So we are turning to you, our friends and family, and asking if you can help us. Even if it's just a few dollars. Maybe share with someone who can help. No one ever wants to feel alone during difficult times, so here we are and all we can do is ask.
