Recently, my family and I experienced a sudden and overwhelming financial crisis due to severe tenant-caused damage to our home in Anaheim, California. The property was left in unsafe condition, including biohazard contamination that required immediate cleanup and remediation. As a result, I lost rental income and was forced to cover urgent repairs out of pocket just to prevent further damage. I am the sole provider for my family. My wife is battling lupus, a serious autoimmune illness, and I am doing everything I can to keep our household stable. At the same time, my daughter is graduating from college in May — a milestone I have worked so hard to make possible for her. Our plan was to move back to California in June so I could fully repair and restore the home. Unfortunately, the unexpected costs from this situation have completely exhausted my savings and finances — funds that were meant to help us relocate and rebuild. I have already spent everything I had trying to fix the most critical issues, but I’ve reached a point where I can’t do it alone anymore. This assistance would help cover emergency biohazard cleanup and remediation, necessary repairs to make the home safe and livable, temporary financial support to offset lost rental income, and allow me to hold on just long enough to get through my daughter’s graduation and return to California to fix this properly. I am also pursuing all appropriate legal avenues to hold the responsible parties accountable, but those processes take time — time my family doesn’t have right now. Asking for help is deeply humbling. I’ve always worked hard to take care of my family, and this is not something I ever imagined needing to do. Any support — whether through a donation or simply sharing this — would mean more than I can express. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any kindness you’re able to offer during this incredibly difficult season. With gratitude, Tina
