I’m exhausted and honestly heartbroken writing this, but I don’t know what else to do right now.

My family and I were in the middle of a cross country move to California, trying to start over and build a safer and more stable life. During the move, our truck was broken into and robbed. In a matter of hours, so much of our life was gone.

They took electronics, clothing, important personal documents and identification, baby items we were preparing for, sentimental family belongings, tools, collectible items, and irreplaceable things that can never truly be replaced, including funeral memorial items.

The hardest part has been the feeling of violation and fear afterward. We are now trying to deal with identity theft concerns while also replacing the basic things we need to keep moving forward. The past few days have been filled with police reports, account recovery, password changes, credit freezes, and trying to figure out how to rebuild while emotionally running on fumes.

I never thought I would make a GoFundMe, and asking for help is incredibly hard for me. But right now we truly need help getting back on our feet after losing so much during this move.

Any donation will go toward replacing essential items, recovering documents, covering theft related expenses, and helping us rebuild some sense of safety and stability again.
