Help Us Recover and Find Stability

Donation protected
My girlfriend recently had surgery to remove a cyst from her ovaries, and she isn’t able to work for a few months while she recovers. It’s been incredibly hard on both of us, as I’m now the only one working (under the table currently)still looking for a stable job, and my income isn’t enough to cover our rent, groceries, and other necessities. We’re facing the possibility of not being able to afford next month’s rent and being homeless, and we’re also searching for a new, more affordable apartment so we can have some breathing room. On top of that, both of our cars are having issues—mine needs a new alternator, and hers is expected to break down soon. We’ve both lost our jobs recently before all of this happened (about 3 to 4 weeks ago) since then I’ve been working under the table, and despite trying everything, including applying for unemployment, we haven’t been able to find stable work. The stress has been overwhelming, affecting our mental health and making us feel distant from each other. I’m doing my best to support her, but it’s been crushing to be let go from our jobs without explanation especially right before everything is due and right when everything else starts going bad, and I worry about what the future holds. We’re also facing mounting hospital bills and debt from borrowing money to get by. Florida has been unforgiving when it comes to financial matters, and we’re scared we might end up homeless with nowhere to go. We’ve really been trying, but everything that could go wrong has happened so quickly. The funds raised will help us fix our vehicles, pay our last month of rent, cover groceries and in-home necessities, move to a more affordable apartment, and pay off her hospital bills and debts. This support will give us the breathing room we need so I can take care of her while she recovers and so that way we will be stable enough just until i have stable income from an actual job and can support her and the bills we have. Anything and everything is much appreciated and helps us get somewhere. I wish I could shake the hands of everyone who helps. Life is rough for everyone right now, but it can be better if we all come together. We love you all and appreciate any and every bit of help. We hope everyone is doing well in these tough times, and we’ll share updates to show how much your support means to us. (For the ones wondering… in the first photo, it was taken in the morning we had both just woken up, this was the morning after she came home from the hospital… we are not high, we don’t do drugs here… I have a medical marijuana card, but currently have not been keeping up with my prescriptions like I’m supposed to due to not having money for it and even if I did have money for it, that’s the last thing on my mind right now…) I wanna state and make very clear, again, that none of this money is going anywhere else except bills, medical bills for Maddie, to fix our vehicles, to afford groceries, to be able to move comfortably into a new more affordable apartment. My girlfriend had a c-section done to remove the cyst and one of her ovaries… it was not how they normally operate with those kinda of surgeries. She can hardly walk, cannot work, and is limited on her movement. That is what the doctor had said. We are not lazy people, we have just hit an inevitable hardship that unfortunately without help, we will ultimately become homeless, and things will be 10x harder than they were… all we are asking is for help. No one is obligated to help, we are not forcing help in anyway, we are trying our hardest to do what we can within our limits… I am doing everything I can for her myself right now… she has tried to get a job and I told her no… because she is not supposed to be doing anything outside of her limitations. This isn’t a pity party, this isn’t a scam… we are real people in need of help. And if you do not want to help then you do not have to. I only say this because I recently tried sharing the gofundme link, and received nothing but hateful comments, backlash, and people bashing us because of their own opinions and thoughts.
