My name is Jasmine Ortogero and my husband and I have 3 boys ages 6, 10, and 14. Our residence was impacted during the recent flooding in Waialua. We leave on the back side of Kukea Circle where it got hit the hardest in our neighborhood. We had about 4.5 feet of flood and sewage water come into our property, turning our lives upside down. The water damaged nearly everything in its path, and we are still coming to terms with the loss. Our entire shed was destroyed, along with the generator, my husband's tools, our lawn mower, weed wacker, a stove, and even our cars. The aftermath has left us with a long list of things to replace and repair, and it feels overwhelming at times.
Despite the devastation, we have been incredibly grateful for the volunteers who came out to help clean our place, do dump runs, clean out our cars, and donate food. Their kindness has given us hope and strength to keep moving forward. We are now reaching out for help to try to fix and replace the things we lost during the flood. Any monetary donation would make a difference for our family. Every bit helps and adds up, and we would be deeply grateful for your support as we work to rebuild our lives.
