Hi everyone, these are Kim's daughters Amber and Autumn. Our mother unexpectedly passed away this weekend in the midst of her 3-year battle with cancer on Oct 22, 2023. If you knew my mom, she was probably a second mother to you or impacted your life in some way. She spent 26 years as a Sergeant in the police force, a D.A.R.E teacher, and a professor, using her love and compassion for others to make a positive change in people's everyday lives. She was the most integral part of our lives as her daughters, and she gave every last bit of herself to us in every way she could, from the moment we were born, until her last days with us on earth.

Our mom's sudden passing has shattered and shifted our lives in many ways that make the coming days and months feel overwhelming for us to navigate both emotionally and financially. Fulfilling her after-life wishes so suddenly is currently beyond our capacity given our current circumstances without preparation. This GoFundMe has been created to help us both as we try and recover, support ourselves through this time, find our bearings, and honor our mother with a service that reflects the same love and beauty she brought to this world during her time with us on earth.
