Help Us Recover After Our Apartment Fire

Hi everyone,

We are Devin, NiNi, Alex, and Ashitaka and we’re reaching out for support after experiencing an apartment fire that has displaced us from our home. While we are incredibly grateful that no one was hurt, the fire has left us facing unexpected housing instability, cleanup costs, and essential replacements. As of today we have been 7 days without housing with no help or support from our landlord.

We’re currently navigating temporary living situations while repairs are underway, and unfortunately, we don’t have renters’ insurance to cover the damages. This has come at a time when we’re all juggling work, personal hardships, and trying to stay afloat as POC artists in NYC.

What We Need Help With:

• Covering temporary housing costs while we figure out a long-term solution

• Replacing damaged essentials (clothing, electronics, bedding, etc.)

• Helping with any cleaning or repair expenses we may be responsible for

Our Goal:

We’re hoping to raise funds to help ease the financial burden of displacement and rebuilding. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to regaining stability.
