Yesterday, on my 24th birthday, my life took an unexpected turn. Around 11am, I was in a car accident that completely totaled the car that I had just bought a week earlier. I had spent months working and saving every last penny to finally get a reliable vehicle for my family. Losing it so suddenly has been devastating, especially knowing how much we depended on it for our daily lives.

My partner is at risk of loosing his employment without a vehicle. I’m currently in nursing school, and having reliable transportation is essential for me to continue my education and support my family’s future. My daughter, who will be turning two in just a week, also needs a new car seat since hers was lost in the accident. We thought we were finally going to be okay, but now we’re facing challenges we never expected.
