Help Us Recover After Apartment Fire

On the afternoon of September 21st at 1:47pm, a fire broke out on our floor of the apartment complex. The cause is still unknown and is being investigated, but the aftermath has left both me and my fiancé displaced from our home. The apartment has been deemed unlivable due to extensive smoke and water damage, and we are currently staying with a family member while we wait for the insurance company to assess the full extent of the damages.

The fire and the efforts to contain it destroyed everything in our kitchen, bathroom, living room, and dining room. We lost all of our furniture, cookware, bedding, towels, clothing, and shoes—everyday essentials that we relied on. In addition to replacing these items, we are facing new challenges with travel costs, as we now have to commute further for work and make daily trips back to the complex to meet with property management and insurance representatives.

We are asking for support to help us replace the essentials and cover the unexpected expenses that have come with being displaced.
