My name is Carlos Tulsie, and I am a Jamaican living in St. Louis. Missouri. I was the first child born in Truro District, Westmoreland, Jamaica. Today, my heart is heavy as I watch the devastating impact Hurricane Melissa has had on my home parish. The people of Truro and Burnt Savanna—including my family—are facing unimaginable challenges.

These communities have been ravaged by the storm. Homes are damaged, crops destroyed, and families are struggling without power, running water, or telecommunications. Many residents have lost nearly everything.

My family and I are organizing an effort to deliver essential supplies directly to the community in the coming weeks. We will use every dollar raised to:

Purchase food, clean water, and hygiene items

Provide building materials to repair damaged homes

Support local families as they rebuild and recover

Our goal is to raise $20,000 USD to help get the community back on its feet in the months ahead. Every contribution—no matter how small—will make a real difference to someone in need.
