We are all in shock witnessing the massive explosion that happened in Beirut on the 4th of August. This comes at a time when the Lebanese nation is already suffering from a catastrophic economic situation, an unprecedented pandemic and relentless government corruption.
We are calling on the world, our friends, and the Lebanese diaspora to donate to this relief fund in order to help the Tawlet and Souk El Tayeb family members and producers whose lives have been impacted by the blast. Our community members are at risk of losing their lifelines and livelihoods.
The money will be spent on fixing and renovating the shop, kitchens, and offices as well as covering the Tawlet and Souk El Tayeb operations (ingredients, products, salaries, and transportation) for the upcoming months.
Please help us secure jobs for 100s of women, farmers, producers, employees and their families.
This fundraiser is organised with Kamal Mouzawak and the Tawlet & Souk El Tayeb teams. Cyril Haddad is in charge of the campaign on behalf of Tawlet and Souk el Tayeb. The funds will be withdrawn and transferred electronically to Kamal Mouzawak and the Tawlet & Souk El Tayeb teams on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.
We understand that Lebanese banks are not allowing international payments at the moment. For domestic donations please contact Tawlet directly.
If you have any questions on this campaign, feel free to contact Tawlet .
