My sister and I have endured unimaginable pain and trauma throughout our lives. For over a decade, we suffered abuse at the hands of our father, and the effects of that experience have shaped so much of who we are today. After her fiancé passed away, my sister made the difficult decision to leave Las Vegas and move to a small town in Oklahoma, hoping to find some peace and a fresh start for herself and her four children. Life in a small town has not been easy for her. With no car, she walks her kids to school every day and struggles to access basic necessities. Transportation is limited, and every day is a challenge as she tries to provide for her family and heal from the past.
I want nothing more than to support my sister and her children as they rebuild their lives. I hope to take a week off work and travel to Oklahoma to be with her, but I don’t have the extra funds to make that possible. Your support will help my sister purchase a car, giving her and her children the freedom and safety they deserve, and will also allow me to visit and strengthen our bond as a family. We are still dealing with the fear of our father potentially being released from prison early, but we are determined to move forward and create a better future for ourselves and our loved ones.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. We recently reached 5,000 signatures on our petition, and we are truly blessed by the kindness and encouragement we’ve received. Any help you can offer will make a real difference in our lives as we continue to heal and build a brighter tomorrow.
