Hi, we are Sophie and Filipe from The Farming Chefs. Last Monday we lost a big part of our regenerative farm in the massive wild fire in Central Portugal. We hope that you can help!
On the 28th of July, a devastating fire swept through our area and struck our beloved regenerative farm, reducing years of dedication, sweat, and dreams to ashes.
We are a small but passionate team who grow food with love, care for the land, and teach people how to grow, cook and preserve nutrient-dense food in the believe that our food choices can change us and the world for the better! We believe everyone deserves healthy and delicious food that supports life and helps us thrive!
Much of what we built up over the years — from our hand-planted gardens to our herb garden, our most expensive tools, irrigation systems, our young orchards, farm fencing and old olive groves — have perished.
But not our spirit!
Why We Need Your Help
This farm wasn’t just a business. It is our home, our mission, and a growing source of hope for thousands of people who followed our journey on YouTube and in real life.
Our business activities encompass
- Feeding our small scale community with nutrient dense food
- Teaching people how to grow their own food regeneratively
- Teach fun, from scratch, no nonsense cooking skills around seasonal meals.
- Empowering people to connection to nature, flavor, and community
Now, we’re asking for your help to get back on our feet and rebuild what we lost — better, stronger, and even more resilient.

Our damages in the wild fire are well above 60.000 euro. Which is our funding goal. Go fund me blocks this up into smaller milestones, starting at 15.000.
