Hi everyone,

On February 22nd, our lives changed in an instant. A fire caused by an electrical short circuit destroyed our home and the entirety of our things.

My mom and I are incredibly grateful to say that we made it out safely, along with our dog. That alone feels like a miracle. But overnight, we lost our home, our belongings, and everything we had built over the years. As we were renting the apartment, and due to the specific circumstances, our insurance does not cover the loss of our personal belongings.

Right now, we are trying to process what happened and take things one step at a time. We are currently staying in temporary housing provided by the town hall. While we are grateful to have a place to stay, it is not a long-term solution and still comes with ongoing costs.

Rebuilding our lives from scratch is something we cannot do alone. Thanks to the amazing support we’ve already received, we currently have enough clothing and basic items, for which we are truly thankful.

At this stage, we are mainly seeking financial support to replace essential appliances and devices, such as a refrigerator, laptop, or other necessities for daily life. We also need help covering upfront costs for a new apartment, including rental deposits and guarantees, so we can secure a stable and permanent place to live again.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean more to us than we can express. If you are not able to donate, sharing this page would already help us immensely.

Op 22 februari is ons leven volledig veranderd door een brand die ons huis en al onze bezittingen heeft verwoest. Gelukkig zijn we veilig, maar we moeten nu helemaal opnieuw beginnen.

We verblijven momenteel in tijdelijke huisvesting via de gemeente, maar dit is geen permanente oplossing en brengt kosten met zich mee.

We zoeken steun om essentiële apparaten te vervangen en om de kosten te dekken voor een nieuwe woning.

Le 22 février, un incendie a détruit notre maison et tous nos biens. Nous sommes reconnaissantes d’être en sécurité, mais nous devons aujourd’hui tout reconstruire.

Nous sommes actuellement dans un logement temporaire fourni par la commune, mais ce n’est pas une solution à long terme et cela engendre des coûts.

Nous cherchons du soutien pour remplacer les équipements essentiels et couvrir les frais liés à un nouveau logement.
