The strong winds knocked down trees, ripped through some of our roof, and cut off our electricity, leaving us without a place to call home. As a result of this natural disaster, my husband, our two kids, and I are currently displaced and living in a cabin while we wait for our house to be repaired. The uncertainty of when we can return home is weighing heavily on our hearts, especially as summer approaches. While we are grateful to have insurance, the coverage falls short of the total cost needed to renovate our home and make it livable again.
