Help Us Rebuild Our Communities, St Patrick Grenada

We have made the hard decision to close Ocean Spirits for the rest of the season and reopen in 2025. We never imagined we would find ourselves in this position, but we want to put all our resources into helping to rebuild our communities and ask for your help.

This fundraiser is not for ourselves but for the communities affected by Hurricane Beryl in Grenada. Statement required by GoFundMe - I Kate Charles (director of Ocean Spirits) will be receiving the funds into my personal UK bank account which will then transfer the funds to Ocean Spirits organization in Grenada to purchase the needed materials and distribute them to those in need. We are raising funds for the communities in the northern part of mainland Grenada severely impacted by Hurricane Beryl.

The Impact of Hurricane Beryl : Hurricane Beryl, a devastating Category 4 storm, has left a trail of destruction in its wake, severely impacting the northern part of mainland Grenada. Homes have been damaged, roofs have been torn off, and many families are facing unimaginable hardships. Our beautiful island, known for its resilience and spirit, is now in dire need of assistance to rebuild and recover.

How You Can Help : Ocean Spirits will be receiving the donations and the funds that will be used to purchase materials to repair damaged homes, essential supplies such as food, water, and clothing, and to support long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts in the affected communities, and animal veterinary care and feed. We will manage and distribute these resources directly to ensure they reach those in need.

Why Your Support Matters : For over twenty years, our local communities have supported Ocean Spirits research and conservation work, and we have called St Patrick our home. It’s where we’ve shared countless memories, celebrated milestones, and supported each other in times of hardship, our local communities have been our backbone in making Ocean Spirits a success.
