Help Lanoba rebuild after the Red Hook fire

Donation protected
On September 18, 2025, a devastating fire ripped through the Red Hook Arts District in Brooklyn, completely destroying many businesses, including Lanoba Design—our shop specializing in restoring Danish vintage mid-century modern furniture. Our entire inventory and equipment were lost, and the space we called home is gone.

We (Lars and David) started Lanoba 10 years ago out of our loft, carefully refurbishing and restoring furniture piece by piece. Lanoba has always been more than a shop—it’s a deeply personal project for us, built with care and connection, and a way to share our love of classic design with others who value it too. Over the years, we’ve poured our energy into this work, growing slowly and steadily.

We’ve weathered the pandemic, location changes, and all the usual challenges of a small business — but this fire is on another level, devastating in a way we could never have imagined.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help us cover urgent costs: lost orders, physical losses, cleanup, payments to small vendors, and administration and legal fees not covered by insurance.

We’re deeply grateful for any support you can give, whether through a donation or by sharing this campaign. With your help, we hope to rebuild Lanoba and continue the work we love.
