Seeking Help For My Family After Flood Damage To Home
Donation protected
The cause for assistance:
We recently had our house flood due to a poorly designed bridge the city has yet to fix. My insurance has denied any help. The city is saying they are going to take the matter seriously, but I still have no help with the house. I will be meeting with a lawyer to see if there is anything legal we can do in the meantime. We have no family close by to help. We have already begun demo on the walls and all flooring and damaged furniture has been removed.
About us:
My wife and I have 4 kids. I work in Dallas, and I’m only home a few days every 2 weeks. We were trying to prepare to move, and then we were struck with this. My wife stays home to attend to our 2 youngest who have been going through some health issues. We cannot afford to let mold infiltrate the house. We will have to replace some of the sheet-rock and insulation, as well as all of the flooring to prevent the possibility of mold. Anything that can be done to help will be greatly appreciated.
We just relocated to Oklahoma after losing everything in hurricane Ida in 2021. I’m hoping we can move forward with a little help, I’m only asking for bare minimum of what we need to make the house livable again. So far I’ve been able to get us through the hardships but this time it’s beyond my means. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and I will find a way to post updates if any progress is able to be made with donations given. Thank you
