Help Us Rebuild, Recharge and Reconnect
Donation protected
Hey folks. I'm Ben, with a deep background in personal and commercial technology. My wife Christie and I live in Hendersonville, NC, and our mountain community got hit hard by hurricane Helene.
We lost electricity for twelve days, had no drinkable running water, blocked roads, no internet, very limited cell service, and gas was scarce.
We got lucky. For us, Helene was only an abrupt lesson in personal energy independence. For the hundreds of thousands who lost their homes, it's become a test of endurance and survival.
Even as we rebuild, roads and bridges remain washed out, towns shut down. Many in western North Carolina are in need of housing, living in tents, juggling dead cellphones and laptops, improvising rent payments and aid appeals -- all while exposed to harsh weather and wildfire.
You can help. Donate now to extend portable, renewable energy resources and critical aid to the families, friends and neighbors still struggling in the catastrophic aftermath of hurricane Helene.
Your donations will help people connect in a time of need, getting power and internet to places where it's still scarce. Together, we will mobilize a portable, commercial-grade solar charging station and wifi center, extend free tech support to critical areas of WNC, and build awareness of reliable personal solar technologies.
Of the total donations, $3500 cover the core solar generator system with 4800W/4000Wh of capacity and 1200W of solar panels. This gives us enough power to charge hundreds of phones, laptops, and batteries in a day.
$500 is needed for essential cabling, trusses, and hardware required to make this system mobile and quickly deployed. $200 unlocks online tools so anyone can apply for, and review, support locations and times.
$800 fully funds 5G and Starlink hardware for fast wireless data access nearly anywhere, any time. $700 gets us an additional 3584Wh of battery storage. Further donations help us cover monthly data fees, bottled water, gas, and more solar panels.
Please contribute what you can now, so that we can provide emergency power and internet and keep our community thriving in this season of adversity.
Staying connected is crucial in times of need. Thank you for your time and support.
