On Wednesday, March 4, a thief stole the entire sanctuary AC condensing unit outside at Wesley Chapel. Then, 2 days later when the big tornado hit Tulsa, it ripped off the flat roof of our onsite YouthWorks Pizza Factory, the entire perimeter fence, and all 3 of the children's trampolines.
The Sanctuary AC insurance deductible is $5000, the roof repair will be $5600, and it will cost $3900 for the kids to rebuild their fence.
Wesley Chapel and the YouthWorks kids need financial help with the Air Conditioner deductible and roof repair costs, and would love for the community to help the kids rebuild their perimeter fence that was built by the kids in our 10-week Summer Dream Camp 17 years ago.
About Tulsa YouthWorks:
YouthWorks empowers more than 200 North Tulsa elementary school children and teenagers each year to overcome scholastic and poverty issues, identify and pursue career dreams, develop hands-on trade skill experience, and feed and serve the health of their food desert community, all while having tons of memorable childhood fun.
YouthWorks accomplishes this year-round through its 10-week Summer Dream Camp, 30-week After School Program, and three school break camps (Fall, Christmas, Spring Break Camp). YouthWorks operates two sites: the YouthWorks Pizza Factory and YouthWorks Ranch.
