Help Us Rebuild After the Tornado in St. Louis

Good morning everyone,

My heart is heavy as I write this. On Friday, May 16th, a devastating tornado tore through our long-standing neighborhood in St. Louis, leaving behind destruction that’s hard to put into words. Our family home—where generations have lived, laughed, and grown—was nearly destroyed.

The roof is gone. Windows shattered. Looters have taken bricks and siding. The damage is overwhelming. We are underinsured, with high deductibles, and completely unprepared for a tragedy of this magnitude.

Right now, we are trying to raise $20,000 to begin the long road to rebuilding. These funds will go directly toward:

My daughter and grandson who lives with me are struggling. My oldest daughter has opened her doors to us, and we are grateful for her safe haven. My grandson appears okay, but he is clearly traumatized. Counseling will be necessary for all of us to begin healing.

What breaks my heart even more is seeing people come into our neighborhood just to film the damage and laugh—while we were standing in the rubble of our lives. But amidst that, there were angels—strangers who brought food, water, and kindness.

I have a small family and not a large network, but the few friends and classmates who have reached out have meant the world. I know times are hard for everyone, but if you're able to donate or share this, it would help more than you can imagine.
