Help Us Rebuild After Texas Flood
Donation protected
On July 4th, our lives changed in an instant when severe flooding hit central Texas. Our home, which we share with my partner Lupe and our six animals, is currently flooded. Water had already entered the back room when we evacuated. We had to evacuate quickly and are now staying with a friend, unsure of where we’ll be able to go next. The full extent of the damage to our house isn’t clear yet, but we know there will be significant repairs needed once the water recedes. Update.
Right now, we’re facing immediate needs for food (the community has been a huge help in this area), dog food, basic supplies, and shelter or hotel expenses. Being displaced so suddenly has been overwhelming, especially during what should have been a time of celebration. We’re doing our best to stay hopeful and support each other, but it’s a difficult road ahead.
We’re reaching out for help to get through this challenging time. Any support—whether it’s a donation, a share, or even a prayer—means so much to us. We’re also thinking of others in our community who have been affected and hope everyone stays safe and gets the help they need. Thank you for reading our story and for any kindness you can offer.
