Our house was hit by a storm and a large 60 feet tree fell into our room and split our roof in half and destroyed it. It fell into our bedroom and our daughter’s room. The debris feel on our bed and on our sleeping daughter. All the cloths in my wardrobe and my wife’s wardrobe has been destroyed. It has done significant damage to us mentally.
The destruction was total. We lost almost everything: ∙ All clothing in both my and my wife’s wardrobes including our 2.5 years old son — completely destroyed ∙ Our bed, Mattress, bed sheet , comforters, Pillow and bedroom furniture ∙ Our daughter’s bed, clothing, and belongings ∙ Our son’s crib ∙ Dressers, drawers, and storage ∙ Personal items that cannot be replaced The damage to the property is so severe that we cannot remain in our home. As renters, we now face the painful reality of having to pack up what little we have left, move out entirely, and live in a hotel for at least six months while the property is repaired — six months in a temporary room with two young children, starting from almost nothing. Every contribution will go directly toward: ∙ Replacing essential clothing for our whole family ∙ A safe sleep setup for our children, including a new crib for our son ∙ Basic furniture and daily necessities for hotel living ∙ Professional movers and packers to help us safely clear out and relocate our belongings ∙ Costs and gaps that renter’s insurance does not cover ∙ Helping our family find stability while we wait to return home
