On February 19th, 2026, a devastating winter storm changed everything for my family and me. Huge trees crashed down next to our home, crushing both our house and our car. We were incredibly fortunate that no one was physically hurt, but the aftermath has been overwhelming. We spent nearly three weeks in a hotel, using up all our savings, and then put everything we had left into a down payment on a rental home. Just as we were starting to rebuild, tragedy struck again—an accident caused a fire at the rental house, and we lost everything we had managed to collect to start over.

The most heartbreaking part was losing three of our beloved family pets in the fire. Two more are currently fighting for their lives at Loomis Basin vet, receiving care for smoke inhalation after being revived on scene by AMR. Now, with our two young children, ages 4 and 6, we are faced with starting over once again—this time with even more bills and without a few precious members of our family.

We are asking for help to cover the costs of hotel stays, daily food, and eventually securing stable housing. The funds will also help us get the essentials our children and we need to live comfortably again, as well as pay for our pets’ urgent vet bills while they recover in oxygen boxes.
