Early this morning, around 4AM, our lives changed forever when a devastating fire broke out at our home on 188 Grandview Avenue in Staten Island, NY. According to the FDNY, the fire started due to a leaking oil and two propane tanks in the yard next door, which quickly spread to our house. In a matter of moments, everything we had worked for was gone.

We lost everything—our home, all of our belongings, and our life savings. Right now, my household and I are homeless, with no clothes, food, or a place to stay. The loss is overwhelming, and we are facing the unimaginable challenge of starting our lives over from scratch. Every day essentials that we once took for granted are now out of reach, and we are doing our best to stay hopeful in this difficult time.
