On Sunday, March 22nd, my partner and I experienced a devastating fire that destroyed our rental home. We had only moved in four months ago, and in that short time, we had begun to make it our own. The fire took away not just the roof over our heads, but also many of our belongings and new possessions that we had worked hard to gather. The loss has been overwhelming, and it’s difficult to put into words how quickly life can change.

Right now, we are staying with family, which has been a blessing, but it’s only a temporary solution. We are facing the challenge of finding a new place to live and need help covering the deposit for a new rental home. In addition, we need to replace essentials like mattresses, clothing, and personal items that were lost in the fire. Every bit of support will help us rebuild and regain some stability during this difficult time.
