We are the Kai ‘Ohana from Ka’ū,hi. Our home & store (Wong Yuen Store) is in located in wai’ōhinu.

Our front and backyards were severely damaged and covered with rocks, mud & debris. Our homes also suffered major structural damage, with portions of the ceiling caving in and the roof coming apart. With Mud, water, rocks & debris covering the floors and surrounding the property has caused extensive damage and requires a major cleanup before we can even begin working towards opening up again. We have lost several freezers & our ice machine as well, because we still have no electricity, we are unable to test our remaining freezers and equipment.
