Last night, my family and I are facing one of the toughest times of our lives. Our house recently caught fire, and it damaged our sons’ bedroom, our backyard along with our kitchen. Which left us having to get rid of our sons’ stuff due to the smoke and glass. Right now, we’re staying with a family member while we try to figure out our next steps. It’s been overwhelming to suddenly be temporarily out of the place we called home, and our children are struggling to adjust to this new reality.
We’re reaching out for help because we need to replace the essentials of our sons’ that were ruined due to the water damage—things like clothes, bedding, and everyday items that make a house feel like home. The loss has been especially hard on our kids, who miss their space and the comfort of their own things. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us rebuild and provide some stability for our children during this difficult time.
If you’re able to donate or share our story, it would mean the world to us. Anything that can be contributed can help us in any way, and we are so grateful for any support you can offer. Thank you for being there for our family.
