On August 13th, my home in Kingwood, Texas was destroyed by a fire. I lived there with my roommate, and in a matter of hours, we lost everything we owned. The fire took away all of our essentials—furniture, beds, clothes, shoes, personal documents, cash, and even the tools and electronics we relied on every day. The loss has been overwhelming, and it’s hard to put into words how much our lives have changed.
Right now, my roommate and I are staying in a motel room because we don’t have any family in Houston to turn to. We’re doing our best to cope, but starting over from scratch is daunting. We need help with the basics: food, clothing, furniture, and other essentials to rebuild our lives. Every contribution will go directly toward helping us find stability and get back on our feet after this tragedy.
