On December 25, 2025, while my family and I were visiting relatives, our home at 699 Washington St in Dorchester was tragically set on fire. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but we returned to find that we had lost everything we owned. The shock and heartbreak of losing our home and all our belongings during the holidays has been overwhelming for all three of us.
Right now, we are doing our best to stay strong and support each other, but we are facing the difficult reality of needing to find temporary housing and replace the basic essentials we lost in the fire. Every day brings new challenges, but we are hopeful that with the kindness and generosity of our community, we can begin to rebuild our lives.
