On December 25th, 2025, a fire broke out in our garage. While it was contained to that space, it left our family displaced and unable to safely stay in our home during repairs. Thankfully, everyone is safe — myself, my Papa Wilmer, my Uncle Paulo, and our dogs Oreo, Snowball, and Kuma were all unharmed.

"So NO SushiGarage (the garage's name)!!??" - many family and friends made the comment and it breaks my heart to say it.

Our garage was never just a garage. It was where we spent time together, fixing our cars, making sushi for friends and family, and watching movies. It held my Papa’s passion for sushi and cars.

Much of what made that space special was lost, including his tools, collections, and the sushi bar he built. Losing it feels like losing a piece of our home.

Funds raised will go directly toward repairing the garage and our home so we can rebuild what was lost and return to our Sushi Safe Space for family and friends. Every contribution, no matter the size, truly helps bring us one step closer to home.
