Three years ago, I purchased a piece of land ten miles north of Oshkosh, Nebraska, dreaming of building a small farm in the Sandhills. Over time, I’ve worked hard to create a peaceful place to raise chickens, ducks, miniature horses, and give my dogs room to play. It’s been a labor of love, and I was looking forward to living more off the land and having a place for my grandkids to visit.

Recently, a devastating fire swept through and changed everything. We almost lost our pony herd, and I lost my boat, cars, RVs, antiques, personal collections, family photos, and a lot of new and used building supplies. The loss has been overwhelming, but I’m grateful that our ponies are safe.

Now, I’m reaching out for help to get back on my feet. The funds raised will help me reseed the pasture for our pony herd and buy feed for them until the grass grows back. I’ll also use the support to purchase building supplies to rebuild our home and replace some of the tools and machinery lost in the fire.
