Update #2

We wanted to share another update with everyone who has been checking in on us. After finally hearing back from insurance, we learned that while they will cover most of the damage to our home, we will still be left owing $10,000. This has been incredibly difficult news to process.

We are doing everything we possibly can to raise the funds needed so we can move into a home we’ve already been approved for. The opportunity is there — we just need help getting over this last hurdle.

We’re trying our best to stay strong, but the reality is setting in. We’ve been living in uncertainty for weeks now, and as of Tuesday the 13th, we will need to find yet another temporary place to stay if we can’t secure housing soon.

Every share, donation, and kind word truly means more than we can express. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing by us during one of the hardest seasons of our lives.

UPDATE

On the hunt for another place to move to next week. Still nothing on trailer. Trying to find help. This place we are at now is not available. Trying to keep positive is not working right now.

With humble hearts, we are reaching out during one of the most difficult seasons our family has ever faced. Over the past few weeks, we have experienced a series of unexpected and overwhelming events that have turned our lives upside down. We are incredibly grateful to share that everyone is safe, and that alone is a blessing we hold tightly.

Unfortunately, our home and vehicle were not spared. Trees fell onto our house, and another fallen tree caused a serious accident while my husband was driving home, totaling our car. By God’s grace, he is safe and recovering well. We do have full insurance coverage; however, we are currently stuck in the lengthy process and red tape of claims and approvals, leaving us without immediate help during this critical time.

Since losing our home on December 17th, we have been moving from place to place and are currently in temporary housing until January 6th. We’ve reached out to local agencies for assistance but have had no success so far. While asking for help is never easy, we are trusting in the kindness of others and the power of community to help us get through this.

We have found a home and are hopeful for a fresh start, but the move-in costs alone are $6,000. In addition, we will need help covering basic necessities such as furniture and getting utilities turned on, including gas. Our funds are running low, and these upfront expenses are more than we can manage on our own right now.

As soon as we are settled, I will be able to begin taking my baking orders again and start working toward rebuilding stability for our family. Until then, any support—whether through donations, prayers, or sharing this page—would mean the world to us.
