On Friday, our lives changed in an instant when a fire broke out in the house next door and quickly spread to our apartment. The wind carried the flames, and before we knew it, our home was filled with smoke, water, and fire damage. We lost nearly everything, and now we’re left without a place to live, food to eat, or the means to get back on our feet. This has been a devastating and unexpected time for our family, and we’re still trying to process everything that’s happened.

Right now, our most urgent needs are clothing and work boots, as we only have a few outfits left. We’re also searching for a safe place to stay while we figure out what comes next. With two 13-year-old kids to care for, we’re starting over from scratch—trying to replace home essentials, clothes, food, toiletries, and cover everyday expenses.
