Help us reach safety and rebuild our life

I am Reham, a Palestinian mother, married, with two beautiful daughters named Elina and Alma. We have endured harsh, heartbreaking months in Gaza due to the war. The sounds of bombing never ceased, and we were displaced from our small home — left without shelter, living in tents, and wandering from place to place. We lived as if we had gone back 100 years. There was no electricity, no cooking gas, and none of the basic necessities of life.
We have endured so much for our homeland. We gave everything we had, and in return, our lives became a living hell. I struggled every single day to provide milk, diapers, and the simplest needs for my daughters. It was a nightmare no mother should ever have to face.
After many attempts, I managed to flee to Egypt with my daughters. But our hearts remain incomplete — because my dear husband couldn’t come with us. He stayed behind in Gaza because we simply couldn’t afford his travel expenses. This man, who dedicated his entire life to protecting us and building a future for his girls, is now living in daily danger. I live in constant fear of losing him. My daughters ask about their father every day — they don’t understand why he’s far away, and I have no words that can ease their pain.
We have lost everything beautiful in our lives. I no longer have a job. My husband had just opened his engineering office — we had put everything we owned into that little dream — and it was destroyed in the bombing before he could even earn a single penny. Our home was also severely damaged and is no longer livable.
Since arriving in Egypt, life has been incredibly difficult. The cost of rent, education for my daughters, and medical care is extremely high. I also carry the full responsibility of supporting my husband and his mother who are still trapped in Gaza. We’re doing our best to rebuild a small part of what we lost, but the financial burden is far too heavy.
I’m currently unable to work — not just because I have two young daughters who need me around the clock, but because they are still traumatized by everything they’ve been through. They live in fear, and I can’t leave them alone. On top of that, my mental and physical health is deeply affected by the war. I feel exhausted, drained, and unable to focus. I don’t even have the legal residency required to work in Egypt.
I feel like I’m battling life on my own — but I’m holding on for the sake of my children.
We are tired. All we want is to live in peace again, together, under one roof.
So now, I ask from the depths of my heart:
Please help me cover my husband’s travel expenses. Help us reunite and begin a new life — even if it’s small, even if it’s simple — as long as it’s safe and together.
Please help us rebuild what the war has stolen. Every donation, even just $5 or $10, brings us closer to a new beginning.
Thank you for standing by us. Your kindness is a light in the darkness, and a reminder that humanity still exists.
