Hello family, friends and communities we have not had the pleasure of meeting yet.

This is Lorna, and she needs our help.

I meet Lorna in the middle of a pandemic, and she is someone I would consider my chosen family. A grandmother, if you will. She is always ready to talk, listen and make you laugh; helping others is what she does best.

She has been a social worker for over 57 years, helping all walks of life and always putting her best foot forward. In addition, Lorna has worked in medical social work (dialysis and kidney transplant service and oncology), drug and alcohol rehabilitation, counseling inmates in LA county jails and leading groups in men's and women's prisons to finally work in child welfare. Her world revolves around bettering the world of others, it always has, and it always will.

Now you may be asking, after 57 years, how young can this wonderful woman be...she is 77 and still currently working in child welfare and adoptions, where she has been for the last 30 years.

Lorna needs medical attention; she has a Dental Bill that will cost her about $45,000!!!

She's had terrible teeth all her life, and Doctors have told her that it is genetic. She's had root canals, extractions and gum disease that has caused most of the pain and problems. She has gone through wearing bridges to partials, and now she is facing complete extractions of all her remaining teeth and wearing implanted dentures. This process will take at least six months to a year to complete without complications. This procedure also requires multiple appointments for teeth extractions, bone grafts, teeth impressions and eight implants, four on top and four on the bottom.

Lorna was planning on retiring within the next year; unfortunately, with the cost of this procedure, she would be working well into her late 80s. I would love to see this amazing woman be able to enjoy retirement after giving so much of her life to others.

I'm reaching out to you asking for help. I am asking for your help to reach this $45,000 goal so that Lorna can have some peace of mind and not worry about her future financially because she needs to have this done. I am asking you to help my chosen family, someone I see as a grandmother, someone I love dearly and could not imagine my life without.
