HELP US TO SUPPORT MORE SCHOOLS IN UK&GHANA

Four months ago, EIA Consults founder Danielle Babatunde resigned from her UK teaching job to teach in schools and orphanages in Ghana.  Danielle's love for deprived children in the UK was sparked when she was 16 - she saw the disparity of educational achievement amongst different groups of young people. Many years later in 2017, Danielle went to Ghana for the first time to volunteer for a month. Living and teaching in an orphanage, her love for deprived children across the nation evolved.

During Danielle's time in Ghana,  she came across the high rates of unqualified teachers teaching in low fee private schools. She was met with this reality when offering her services to teach some of the most vulnerable students across a primary/secondary school in Asikuma Ghana. She was asked by the headteacher to conduct some training for their teachers. As she delivered the training, the feedback was outstanding and staff were asking for more coaching in other areas in their teaching.

 As Danielle prepared to teach in the next school, she was met with the same request in regards to training staff. It was clear there was a need and it could not go unnoticed. This was the official birth and refining moment for EIA as we see it today.

EIA Consults service limited by guarantee - soon to be a registered charity - seeks to see young people from all different backgrounds reach their full potential despite their individual circumstances. We offer talks of empowerment for young people in the United Kingdom as well as workshops. This gives them life skills to encourage social mobility. We also offer training for school staff in the UK and Ghana.

Thanks to the giving of friends, family, and wider social networks, Danielle has had funds to cover her living and travel expenses as she carries out her six month mission work in Ghana.

It is now the 5th month, and Danielle has been able to teach over 80 students week after week, whilst also creating and delivering training for staff across two schools.

EIA is proud to say we now have 2 partner schools in Ghana; we have trained 40 teachers across many topics which include improving classroom interaction and effective discipline. In addition to this, we have also delivered workshops for 30 out of the 80 students and we are just getting started!

Our growing and developing team are currently being trained on how to deliver these services to schools across the globe.

As you can imagine, travelling to teach for xic months, raising donations and birthing EIA has not been easy! Therefore, we are doing our first crowdfunding as EIA so we can support the work we have already started in Ghana.

Beginning the next cohort of training with our partner schools in January 2022, we aim to reach 20 schools in the United Kingdom next year 2022 Q4 and 5 partner schools in Ghana across the year.

Your funds will go to;

The running costs to operate EIA for the next 10 Months including but not limited to: the administration, marketing, the miscellaneous outgoings, charity status process costs and the day-to-day operations of providing and delivering services to schools particularly in Ghana (due to not charging schools in Ghana for the services we provide).

This is to keep EIA going until EIA Consults achieves the charity status and obtains grants and donors.

Therefore, please partner with us as we carry out this great work! The ask is big because the need is so great.

If you would like to set up monthly donations to spread out the costs please do.
