Help us rally around Tara & Barry

Our dear friends Tara Robertson and Barry Smith need your help. This beautiful 40 year old new mom, has been recently diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic Pancreatic Cancer. This devastating diagnosis comes at a time in their lives when they are supposed to be enjoying being new parents. Tara and her husband Barry welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Nico, just 7 months ago and now Tara is facing the biggest fight of her life.
As Tara and Barry are now both off work and attempting to navigate our healthcare system, they are looking at some major expenses in travel to St John’s from their home in Clarenville, as well as trying to meet the needs of their new baby boy on a very reduced income. This journey, as indicated by Tara’s doctors, is going to be a long, hard road and the plan right now is for aggressive chemotherapy.
This news has brought with it many emotions, fear, and stress. They have already been away from their home and baby boy for almost 3 weeks while admitted in St John’s, NL.
We are reaching out to look for financial aid to decrease the burden on this beautiful young family. The money will be used to keep their family going in a time when everything else is so uncertain. Please keep Tara in your thoughts and contribute what each of you consider to be possible.
We are all taking this one day at a time, including our strong, brave friend Tara. Tara and Barry have positively impacted so many people through their careers as Social Workers, as well as throughout their personal lives, as two of the kindest, most generous individuals you could ask for. They have certainly been a rock for many individuals along the way, and now it’s time for us to step up and help them as best we can. She is loved by so many people, and we need to have hope that love wins.
